Product Overview

The Feline Calicivirus-Herpesvirus-Panleukopeniavirus Ab Tri-line Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the semi-quantitative detection of antibodies specific to feline calicivirus (FCV), feline herpesvirus (FHV) and feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) in serum, plasma or whole blood; antibody titers are semi-quantitatively analyzed by the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer.

Suitable for:

🐈 Cats at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & shelters 🔬 Field screening

Detection Principle

The Feline Calicivirus-Herpesvirus-Panleukopeniavirus Ab Tri-line Test is based on a lateral flow immunochromatographic immunoassay. The test card features a single testing window that contains a control (C) zone and three T (test) zones arranged in one line. As the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of the test strip. The pre-coated viral antigens capture the corresponding antibodies from the sample, forming visible lines at the test zones. The VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer evaluates the antibody titer levels by comparing the intensity of the test lines with a pre-calibrated reference chart, providing a semi-quantitative assessment of the results. The C line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance.

Test Procedure

1Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use.
2Turn on the analyzer — turn on the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer and use its scanner to scan the QR code on the inner label of the box or the label of the bag to import the calibration curve into the analyzer.
3Load the test card — remove the test card from the foil pouch. Position the front of the card facing up, ensuring that the sample well is oriented towards the outside of the test card slot of the analyzer, then insert the card into the slot.
4Apply sample — use a pipette to place 10 μL of the sample into the sample well, then add 90 μL of the assay buffer into the sample well.
5Run the test — push the test card to the farthest end of the test card slot and tap "Standard Test" on the screen; read the result at the end of the automatic countdown.

* The tri-line card is read with the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer (Standard Test). Antibody titer levels are graded as Negative (G1), Low (G2), Medium (G3–G4) or High (G5–G6) — see Result Interpretation.

Result Interpretation

Titer gradeLevelInterpretation
G1NegativeNegative — not immunized or immune failure.
G2LowLow antibody titer and poor immune status.
G3 – G4MediumMedium antibody titer and good immune status.
G5 – G6HighHigh antibody titer and excellent immune status.

The three T lines appear in the order C-H-P, corresponding to FCV, FHV and FPV antibodies respectively. Results are graded as Negative (G1), Low (G2), Medium (G3-G4) and High (G5-G6). If no colored line appears in the C line, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated with a new test card.

* The grade is assigned by the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer according to the intensity of the corresponding T line. The C line must appear for a valid result — otherwise repeat with a new test card. For in vitro veterinary use only.

FAQ

QWhich specimens can be tested?
AFeline serum, plasma or whole blood.
QHow long until the result?
AAbout 10 minutes after starting the test on the analyzer.
QDo I need an instrument?
AYes — the tri-line card is read with the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer (Standard Test) to grade antibody titers semi-quantitatively.
QHow are the results graded?
ATiter levels are graded as Negative (G1), Low (G2), Medium (G3–G4) or High (G5–G6) according to the intensity of the corresponding T line.
QCan the test card be reused?
ANo. Each card is for single use only.
QWhat does the C line mean?
AThe C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat.
