Intended Use

The BTV Ab Test is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic method for the qualitative detection of Bovine Bluetongue Virus antibody (BTV Ab) in cattle’s serum, plasma or whole blood specimen.

 

Principle

The BTV Ab Test  is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the sample was applied into the sample well on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated Bovine Bluetongue Virus recombinant antigens.. If the Bovine Bluetongue Virus antibody are present in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates the test is performing properly. By this means, the test card can accurately indicate the presence of Bovine Bluetongue Virus antibody in the specimen.
