Product Overview

The Canine Immunoglobulin E Ab Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the detection of Immunoglobulin E in canine serum, plasma or whole blood. It can be performed by a dropper method or a pipette method and delivers a visible result in 5 to 10 minutes.

Suitable for:

🐕 Dogs at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & breeding kennels 🔬 Field screening

Detection Principle

The test card features a testing window with an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. Highly selective antibodies to immunoglobulin E antibodies serve as the capture (T) and gold-labeled detector antibodies. When the treated sample is added to the sample well, the liquid flows laterally across the test strip. If the target is present, a visible T line appears. The C line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance.

Test Procedure

1Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use.
2Collect sample — collect serum, plasma or whole blood following standard veterinary procedures.
3Prepare sample — transfer 1 drop of the collected specimen (using a capillary dropper) into the assay buffer tube and mix thoroughly. Alternatively, add 10 μL of the specimen into the assay buffer tube with a pipette and mix thoroughly. Use the mixed liquid as the treated sample.
4Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the treated sample (using a disposable dropper), or 100 μL (using a pipette), into the sample well.
5Read result — start the timer and read the result at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing.

Result Interpretation

Two manual preparation options are available. Dropper method: add 1 drop of the collected specimen into the assay buffer tube with the capillary dropper, mix thoroughly, then add 3 drops of the treated sample into the sample well with the disposable dropper. Pipette method: add 10 μL of the specimen into the assay buffer tube, mix thoroughly, then transfer 100 μL of the treated sample into the sample well. Read the result within 5 to 10 minutes in both cases.

* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.
