Product Overview

The Feline Panleukopenia Virus-Coronavirus-Giardia lamblia-Salmonella spp.-Clostridium perfringens Alpha-toxin-Campylobacter spp. Ag Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the rapid differential diagnosis of common feline gastrointestinal infections by detecting feline panleukopenia virus, feline coronavirus, Giardia lamblia, Salmonella spp., Clostridium perfringens alpha-toxin and Campylobacter spp. antigens in feline feces, from a single specimen collection.

Suitable for:

🐈 Cats at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & shelters 🔬 Field screening

Detection Principle

The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 6 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.

Test Procedure

1Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use.
2Collect sample — collect fresh feces with the swab from the anus or from the ground — the amount should cover approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of the swab tip.
3Prepare sample — insert the swab into the assay buffer tube, agitate thoroughly, and let it stand for 30–60 seconds. Use the liquid supernatant as sample.
4Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 4 drops of the treated sample into each sample well.
5Read result — start the timer and read at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing.

NOTE: In case of no flow in 30 seconds, add 1 more drop of the sample.

Result Interpretation

C lineT lineResultInterpretation
VisibleVisiblePositive (+)Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present.
VisibleNot visibleNegative (−)No target detected.
No lineAnyInvalidTest failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card.

The six windows are read independently, and any faintly visible T line should be considered positive when the C line is also present. The FPV, FCoV, GIA, SAL, CPE and CAMPY windows detect feline panleukopenia virus, feline coronavirus, Giardia lamblia, Salmonella spp., Clostridium perfringens alpha-toxin and Campylobacter spp. antigens, respectively, in feline feces. Read the result at 5–10 minutes after applying the treated sample.

* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ

QWhich specimens can be tested?
AFeline feces.
QHow long until the result?
A5–10 minutes after adding the sample.
QDo I need an instrument?
ANo instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation).
QWhat if the T line is very faint?
AAny faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present.
QCan the test card be reused?
ANo. Each card is for single use only.
QWhat does the C line mean?
AThe C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat.
