Product Overview
The Canine CRP Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the quantitative detection of the concentration of C-reactive protein (CRP) in canine serum or plasma, aiding the assessment of inflammation.
Suitable for:
🐕 Dogs at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & breeding kennels 🔬 Field screening
Key Features
| 🎯 Quantitative result | Analyzer-computed concentration displayed on the VETSEE G2 screen in mg/L |
| 🧬 Target | C-reactive protein |
| 📊 Detection range | 10-100 mg/L |
| ⚡ Fast result | About 5 minutes |
| 🔬 Highly selective | Target-specific capture and gold-labeled detector antibodies |
| ❄️ Room-temp storage | 2–30 °C, no cold chain needed |
| 📦 Flexible packs | 10T kit available |
Detection Principle
The test is based on a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features a testing window with an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane; the target analyte in the sample reacts with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies and forms a visible T line at the test zone. The optoelectronic system of the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer analyzes the signal intensity of the T line against the lot-specific calibration curve (imported by scanning the QR code), and the concentration is displayed directly on the analyzer screen. The C line indicates a valid test result.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Turn on the analyzer — power on the dry immunoassay analyzer and use its scanner to scan the QR code on the inner side of the box lid or the bag label to import the calibration curve of this lot. |
| 3 | Load the test card — remove a CRP test card from the foil pouch, position it front side up with the sample well oriented towards the outside of the test card slot, and insert the card into the slot. |
| 4 | Prepare sample — use a pipette to add 5 μL of serum or plasma specimen into an assay buffer tube and mix thoroughly to obtain the treated sample. |
| 5 | Apply sample — use a pipette to add 100 μL of the treated sample into the sample well and push the test card to the farthest end of the slot. |
| 6 | Run the test — tap [STANDARD TEST] on the screen; the CRP concentration will be displayed automatically at the end of the countdown, about 5 minutes later. |
* The result is calculated and displayed by the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer (Standard Test); refer to Result Interpretation for the reference range.
Result Interpretation
| Concentration | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| ≤ 10 mg/L | Normal. |
| 10-30 mg/L | Mild abnormal. |
| > 30 mg/L | Abnormal; inflammation. |
The CRP concentration is displayed directly on the screen of the analyzer (detection range 10-100 mg/L); refer to the reference range in practice. When the analyzer displays "invalid", it is recommended to review the operating procedures and perform another test.
* Suggested reference ranges were established based on a certain region; because of varietal and regional differences, each laboratory should establish its own reference range. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Canine serum or plasma. |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | About 5 minutes after starting the test on the analyzer. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | Yes — the VETSEE G2 Dry Immunoassay Analyzer is required; the concentration is calculated and displayed automatically. |
| Q | How is the concentration reported? |
| A | The analyzer displays the concentration directly on its screen (detection range 10-100 mg/L); compare it with the reference range in Result Interpretation. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
