Product Overview
The Canine Distemper Virus-Adenovirus-Influenza Virus Ag Combo Test enables the rapid differential diagnosis of these pathogens by detecting antigens of canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus and canine influenza virus in secretions from canine eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus, with a single specimen collection and sample preparation.
Suitable for:
🐕 Dogs at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & breeding kennels 🔬 Field screening
Key Features
| 🎯 Multi-marker panel | Up to 3 analytes in one test — single specimen, one preparation |
| 🧬 Target | Canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus and canine influenza virus antigens |
| ⚡ Fast result | 5–10 minutes |
| 🔬 Highly selective | Target-specific capture and gold-labeled detector antibodies |
| ❄️ Room-temp storage | 2–30 °C, no cold chain needed |
| 📦 Flexible packs | 10T kit available |
Detection Principle
The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 3 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect sample — collect secretions from eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus with the swab. |
| 3 | Prepare sample — insert the swab into the assay buffer tube, agitate thoroughly, and let it stand for 30–60 seconds. Use the liquid supernatant as sample. |
| 4 | Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the treated sample into each sample well. |
| 5 | Read result — start the timer and read at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. |
Result Interpretation
| C line | T line | Result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visible | Visible | Positive (+) | Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Visible | Not visible | Negative (−) | No target detected. |
| No line | Any | Invalid | Test failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card. |
* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Secretions from canine eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus. |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | 5–10 minutes after adding the sample. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | No instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation). |
| Q | What if the T line is very faint? |
| A | Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
