What is CaAEB?

CaAEB refers to a triple-antibody detection test strip for canines, specifically targeting three common pathogenic infections:

  • C = Control line (Validates test strip effectiveness and sample flow, ensuring reliable results)
  • A = Anaplasma spp. antibody
  • E = Ehrlichia canis antibody
  • B = Babesia spp. antibody
It is a rapid in vitro diagnostic tool designed for simultaneous screening of the three infections with a single sample, simplifying veterinary clinical testing workflows.

Why Do Veterinarians Recommend CaAEB Testing?

From a clinical standpoint, CaAEB testing is an indispensable part of canine health management, supported by three key clinical values:

  • Reliable & Valid Results: The built-in Control line eliminates invalid outcomes caused by faulty strips or improper operation. It is not interfered by common substances (e.g., Doxycycline, Ceftriaxone Sodium), ensuring diagnostic precision.
  • Efficient & Comprehensive Screening: Only 10μL whole blood (or 1 drop) is needed; three diseases are tested simultaneously with results available in 10 minutes. It efficiently identifies co-infections, saving clinic time and avoiding multiple separate tests.
  • Practical & Clinically Relevant: Supports both visual interpretation and semi-quantitative analysis via the FIC-Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer (classifies results into 5 phases, ideal for low antibody titers). Printable reports facilitate clear communication with pet owners, enabling early detection of hidden infections and targeted treatment.

Test procedures

1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
2. Transfer 1 drop (using a capillary dropper) of the treated sample into the sample well.
3. Transfer 3 drops (using a disposable dropper) of the assay buffer into the sample well.
4. Start the timer. Wait for 10 minutes to read the result。

Interpretation

Positive (+):

Anaplasma positive, C line and A line appear.

Ehrlichia positive, C line and E line appear.

Babesia positive, C line and B line appear.
Negative(-):The C line is visible, but the A, E and B line is not visible.

Invalid:No line appears in the C zone.
