The Feline Relaxin Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the detection of relaxin in feline serum or plasma to indicate pregnancy status, delivering a fast, visible result in 5–10 minutes. Relaxin is usually detectable from 28–35 days after mating, and a negative result should be confirmed by retesting after 1 week.

Detection Principle
The test card features a testing window with an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. Highly selective antibodies to relaxin serve as the capture (T) and gold-labeled detector antibodies. When the treated sample is added to the sample well, the liquid flows laterally across the test strip. If the target is present, a visible T line appears. The C line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect sample — collect serum or plasma following standard veterinary procedures. |
| 3 | Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the specimen (using a disposable dropper) or 100 μL (using a pipette) into the sample well. |
| 4 | Read result — start the timer and read at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. |

Storage & Stability
Store the test kit at 2–30 °C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Do not freeze. The kit is stable for 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions.
