Product Overview
The Feline Calicivirus-Herpesvirus Type1-Coronavirus-Panleukopenia Virus-Giardia-Feline Leukemia Virus Ag Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the rapid screening of kitten health by detecting feline calicivirus and feline herpesvirus type-1 antigens in secretions from the feline eye conjunctiva or nasal cavities, feline coronavirus, feline panleukopenia virus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feline feces, and feline leukemia virus antigen in feline serum, plasma or whole blood, from a single specimen collection.
Suitable for:
🐈 Cats at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & shelters 🔬 Field screening

Detection Principle
The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 6 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — Allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15-25°C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect sample — Collect secretions from the feline eye conjunctiva or nasal cavities with a specimen collection swab for the FCV-FHV windows, collect fresh feline feces with another swab from the feline anus or from the ground covering about 1/3 to 2/3 of the swab tip for the FCoV-FPV-GIA windows, and collect whole blood with a vacuum blood collection tube or separate serum or plasma by centrifugation for the FeLV window. |
| 3 | Prepare sample — Insert the secretion swab into the FCV-FHV assay buffer tube and the fecal swab into the FCoV-FPV-GIA assay buffer tube, agitate to elute the specimen, and use the liquid supernatant as the treated sample. Serum, plasma or whole blood is used directly without dilution. |
| 4 | Apply sample — Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat. Add 3 drops of the treated secretion sample into each of the FCV and FHV sample wells, 4 drops of the treated fecal sample into each of the FCoV, FPV and GIA sample wells, and 1 drop of serum, plasma or whole blood into the FeLV sample well followed by 3 drops of the FeLV assay buffer. |
| 5 | Read result — Start the timer and read the result at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. |
Result Interpretation
| C line | T line | Result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visible | Visible | Positive (+) | Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Visible | Not visible | Negative (−) | No target detected. |
| No line | Any | Invalid | Test failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card. |
The six windows are read independently. The FCV and FHV windows detect feline calicivirus and feline herpesvirus type-1 antigens in secretions from the feline eye conjunctiva or nasal cavities, the FCoV, FPV and GIA windows detect feline coronavirus, feline panleukopenia virus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feline feces, and the FeLV window detects feline leukemia virus antigen in serum, plasma or whole blood. A visible T line together with the C line in a window indicates a positive result for the corresponding target; a window in which no line appears in the C zone is invalid.
* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Feline secretions from the eye conjunctiva or nasal cavities (FCV-FHV), feline feces (FCoV-FPV-GIA), and feline serum, plasma or whole blood (FeLV). |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | 5–10 minutes after adding the sample. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | No instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation). |
| Q | What if the T line is very faint? |
| A | Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
