Detection Principle

The test card features a testing window with an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. Highly selective antibodies to Mycoplasma pneumonia antigen serve as the capture (T) and gold-labeled detector antibodies. When the treated sample is added to the sample well, the liquid flows laterally across the test strip. If the target is present, a visible T line appears, which can also be recognized by the VETSEE G2 analyzer. The C line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance.

Test Procedure

1	Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use.
2	Collect sample — collect secretions from eyes, nasal cavities or anus with the swab — the amount should cover the whole swab tip.
3	Prepare sample — insert the swab into the assay buffer tube, agitate thoroughly, and let it stand for 30–60 seconds. Use the liquid supernatant as sample.
4	Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the treated sample into the sample well.
5	Read result — start the timer and read at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing.
