Product Overview
The Feline Panleukopenia Virus-Coronavirus-Giardia lamblia Ag-Feline Infectious Peritonitis Ab Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the rapid screening of critical feline gastrointestinal and systemic diseases by detecting feline panleukopenia virus, feline coronavirus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feces together with antibodies to feline infectious peritonitis in ascitic fluid, pleural effusion, serum, plasma or whole blood.
Suitable for:
🐈 Cats at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & shelters 🔬 Field screening

Detection Principle
The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 4 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — Allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect samples — For the FPV, FCoV and GIA windows, collect fresh feline feces with a specimen collection swab from the feline anus or from the ground, with the amount covering about 1/3 to 2/3 of the swab tip. For the FIP window, collect whole blood with an anticoagulant tube, or separate serum or plasma by centrifugation; alternatively, collect ascitic fluid or pleural effusion with a collection tube. |
| 3 | Prepare samples — Insert the fecal swab into the FPV-FCoV-GIA assay buffer tube and agitate it to release the sample, then use the liquid supernatant as the treated sample. For the FIP window, use serum, plasma or whole blood directly; for ascitic fluid or pleural effusion, add 1 drop of the specimen with a disposable dropper into the FIP assay buffer tube and mix thoroughly to obtain the treated sample. |
| 4 | Apply samples — Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface. Transfer 4 drops of the treated fecal sample into each of the FPV, FCoV and GIA sample wells. For the FIP sample well, add 1 drop of serum, plasma or whole blood with a capillary dropper, then add 3 drops of the FIP assay buffer with a disposable dropper; for ascitic fluid or pleural effusion, transfer 3 drops of the treated (diluted) sample into the FIP sample well. |
| 5 | Read results — Start the timer and read the result at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. If there is no flow within 30 seconds, add 1 drop more of the sample. |
Result Interpretation
| C line | T line | Result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visible | Visible | Positive (+) | Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Visible | Not visible | Negative (−) | No target detected. |
| No line | Any | Invalid | Test failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card. |
The four windows are read independently with their own specimens: the FPV, FCoV and GIA windows detect feline panleukopenia virus, feline coronavirus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feline feces, while the FIP window detects antibodies specific to feline infectious peritonitis in ascitic fluid, pleural effusion, serum, plasma or whole blood. In each window a magenta C line must appear for the result to be valid; a visible T line together with the C line indicates a positive result for the corresponding marker (any faintly visible T line should be considered positive), while a C line without a T line is negative and a window in which no line appears in the C zone is invalid.
* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Feline feces (FPV-FCoV-GIA) and feline ascitic fluid, pleural effusion, serum, plasma or whole blood (FIP). |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | 5–10 minutes after adding the sample. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | No instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation). |
| Q | What if the T line is very faint? |
| A | Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
