Product Overview
The Canine Distemper Virus-Giardia lamblia-Coronavirus-Parvovirus Ag Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the detection of canine distemper virus antigen in secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus, and Giardia lamblia, canine coronavirus and canine parvovirus antigens in feces, delivering a fast, visible result in 5–10 minutes.
Suitable for:
🐕 Dogs at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & breeding kennels 🔬 Field screening
Key Features
| 🎯 Multi-marker panel | Up to 4 analytes in one test — two specimens, independent preparation per window |
| 🧬 Target | Canine distemper virus, Giardia lamblia, canine coronavirus and canine parvovirus antigens |
| ⚡ Fast result | 5–10 minutes |
| 🔬 Highly selective | Target-specific capture and gold-labeled detector antibodies |
| ❄️ Room-temp storage | 2–30 °C, no cold chain needed |
| 📦 Flexible packs | 10T kit available |
Detection Principle
The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 4 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25 °C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect sample — collect secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus with a swab for the CDV window, and fresh feces with a separate swab for the GIA, CCV and CPV windows. |
| 3 | Prepare sample — insert the secretion swab and the fecal swab into their respective assay buffer tubes, agitate thoroughly, and let them stand for 30–60 seconds. Use the liquid supernatant as sample. |
| 4 | Apply sample — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the treated secretion sample into the CDV sample well and 4 drops of the treated fecal sample into each of the GIA, CCV and CPV sample wells. |
| 5 | Read result — start the timer and read at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. |
Result Interpretation
| C line | T line | Result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visible | Visible | Positive (+) | Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Visible | Not visible | Negative (−) | No target detected. |
| No line | Any | Invalid | Test failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card. |
The four windows are read independently. The CDV window detects canine distemper virus antigen in secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus, while the GIA, CCV and CPV windows detect Giardia lamblia, canine coronavirus and canine parvovirus antigens in feces.
* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Canine secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus (CDV) and canine feces (GIA-CCV-CPV). |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | 5–10 minutes after adding the sample. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | No instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation). |
| Q | What if the T line is very faint? |
| A | Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
