Product Overview
The Canine Distemper Virus-Adenovirus-Parvovirus-Coronavirus-Giardia lamblia Ag, Ehrlichia canis Ab Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for comprehensive puppy health screening by detecting canine distemper virus and canine adenovirus antigens in secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus, canine parvovirus, canine coronavirus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feces, and antibodies to Ehrlichia canis in serum, plasma or whole blood, from a single test card.
Suitable for:
🐕 Dogs at risk of infection 🏥 Veterinary clinics & animal hospitals 🐾 Rescue centers & breeding kennels 🔬 Field screening
Key Features
| 🎯 Multi-marker panel | Up to 6 analytes in one test — single specimen, one preparation |
| 🧬 Target | Canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus, canine parvovirus, canine coronavirus and Giardia lamblia antigens, and Ehrlichia canis antibodies |
| ⚡ Fast result | 5–10 minutes |
| 🔬 Highly selective | Target-specific capture and gold-labeled detector antibodies |
| ❄️ Room-temp storage | 2–30 °C, no cold chain needed |
| 📦 Flexible packs | 10T kit available |
Detection Principle
The test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card features 6 testing windows, each containing a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are initially invisible before the assay. When the treated sample is applied, the liquid flows laterally across the NC membrane of each test strip, interacting with pre-coated target-specific reagents respectively. The presence of target analytes in the sample results in a visible T line, while the appearance of the C line indicates a successful assay.
Test Procedure
| 1 | Equilibrate — allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature (15-25°C) for 10 minutes before use. |
| 2 | Collect samples — collect secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus with a swab for the CDV and CAV windows, collect fresh feces with a separate swab for the CPV, CCV and GIA windows, and collect whole blood into a vacuum blood collection tube or serum/plasma separated by centrifugation for the EHR window. |
| 3 | Prepare samples — insert the secretion swab into the CDV-CAV assay buffer tube and the fecal swab into the CPV-CCV-GIA assay buffer tube, agitate thoroughly and let them stand for 30–60 seconds, then use the liquid supernatant as sample; serum, plasma or whole blood is used directly. |
| 4 | Apply samples — remove the test card from the foil pouch, place it flat, and transfer 3 drops of the treated secretion sample into each of the CDV and CAV sample wells and 4 drops of the treated fecal sample into each of the CPV, CCV and GIA sample wells; for the EHR sample well, add 1 drop of serum, plasma or whole blood with the capillary dropper followed by 3 drops of the EHR assay buffer with the disposable dropper. |
| 5 | Read result — start the timer and read the result at 5–10 minutes. Do not move the test card during testing. |
Result Interpretation
| C line | T line | Result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visible | Visible | Positive (+) | Target detected in the corresponding testing window. Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Visible | Not visible | Negative (−) | No target detected. |
| No line | Any | Invalid | Test failed in the corresponding window; repeat with a new test card. |
The six windows are read independently, and any faintly visible T line should be considered positive when the C line is also present. The CDV and CAV windows detect canine distemper virus and canine adenovirus antigens in secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus; the CPV, CCV and GIA windows detect canine parvovirus, canine coronavirus and Giardia lamblia antigens in feces; the EHR window detects antibodies to Ehrlichia canis in serum, plasma or whole blood. Read the result at 5–10 minutes.
* The C and T lines appear as magenta-colored lines. For in vitro veterinary use only — results should be considered alongside other clinical information.

FAQ
| Q | Which specimens can be tested? |
| A | Canine secretions from the eye conjunctiva, nasal cavities or anus (CDV-CAV), canine feces (CPV-CCV-GIA) and canine serum, plasma or whole blood (EHR). |
| Q | How long until the result? |
| A | 5–10 minutes after adding the sample. |
| Q | Do I need an instrument? |
| A | No instrument is required for Method 1 (visual interpretation). |
| Q | What if the T line is very faint? |
| A | Any faintly visible T line is considered positive when the C line is present. |
| Q | Can the test card be reused? |
| A | No. Each card is for single use only. |
| Q | What does the C line mean? |
| A | The C (control) line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. No C line = invalid test, repeat. |
